Ryan Turns Nine!
Ryan's Birthday: Part 1
The Lego Display opened at the Discovery Center on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Steven and Ryan have really been into Legos here lately, so I thought it would be a fun activity for Ryan's birthday. We invited Jillian and Auntie Lisa along - who better to come than your birthday pal?! The kids are posing in front of the models of famous buildings. This was one of the last pictures I took at the DC, and three of them had been playing at the outdoor water area, just in case you were wondering.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day!
When we arrived, each child was given a little
blue 1x1 Lego piece to add to the City of Tomorrow.
More City of Tomorrow
Ryan riding the stationary bike to generate electricity to power a light bulb.
Just a fun picture. There are so many cool photo opportunities at the DC!

Ryan's Birthday: Part 2
Ryan requested chocolate cake with chocolate frosting
for his birthday treat for his family party.
Ryan with his cool loot!
Ryan's Birthday: Part 3
Ryan's actual ninth birthday - October 18, 2008
We celebrated at home after getting back from Jillian's big 4 year old party.
We had homemade pizza and leftover cupcakes from Jillian's party.
Ryan reacting to Dad singing happy birthday to "Ry-Ry!"
A nice smile - and if you look closely enough, you can see the pink Barbie
plate that the cupcakes came home on. Thanks for sharing, Auntie Lisa!
Playing with Ryan's birthday present - Lego Batman for Wii.
